Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the signing of two agreements — with Norway and the Netherlands — on the production of drones.
Denys Shmyhal signed the first agreement with Norwegian Defense Minister Tore Sandvik.
Within the framework of this cooperation, Ukraine will share its experience and innovations. In return, Norway will become a production site, as well as research and development cooperation with leading Norwegian institutions.
"The next stage is to quickly deploy a pilot production line in 2026 and, in parallel, work on further increasing capacity," Shmyhal noted.
The second agreement was signed with the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans.
The document provides for the joint production of Ukrainian unmanned systems both in Ukraine and in the Netherlands.
"Production will be divided between Ukraine and the Netherlands. The drones will be purchased by the Dutch side and transferred to the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the Minister of Defense of Ukraine added.
In addition, the Netherlands announced the allocation of €250 million for the PURL initiative.
