The Ukrainian delegation at the Drone Warfare Summit, held October 27-29 in the Philippines, presented the concept of a new unmanned aerial vehicle called FA v1.
As Defense Blog reports , an image of the FA v1 was shown during the presentation of the Ukrainian vision for the development of flying and maritime drones.
Although the appearance of the FA v1 render resembles a fighter jet, its declared parameters correspond to the class of tactical-level interceptor drones:
Range: 30 km.
Maximum altitude: 5000 m.
Speed: over 250 km/h.
Air target detection range: up to 15 km.

According to military analysts, such characteristics are typical for anti-aircraft UAVs, which are actively used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces today. Such air defense systems demonstrate high effectiveness in countering enemy reconnaissance drones, strike UAVs such as the Lancets and Shaheds, as well as reconnaissance UAVs of the "Krylo" class.
The FA v1 is claimed to be able to detect targets up to 15 km away, most likely involving the use of optical guidance, which often includes machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to capture and track targets.
According to Ukrainian representatives, the FA v1 project embodies the country's experience gained during the Russian-Ukrainian war, where unmanned systems became a defining element of modern combat operations.
Earlier, as part of the Build with Ukraine program, the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and the United Kingdom announced the joint production of interceptor drones.
