Ukrainian interceptor drones have already shot down about a third of enemy "shaheeds"

The effectiveness of using Ukrainian drones to intercept Russian strike drones is showing rapid growth. This was stated by representatives of the Group 12 research unit Roman Krasovsky and Vasyl Dubovy in an interview with the "To the Weapons" project on the "Military" channel.
In November 2025, interceptor drones shot down units of enemy UAVs, while as of January-February 2026, this number reached over 1,500 drones. In dynamics, this is a 20 to 50% growth from month to month.
"About 30% of Shahed-type air attack vehicles were bitten off by this combat capability," Group 12 emphasized.
It is important to emphasize that these statistics reflect a percentage not of the number of targets successfully shot down by all available air defense forces, but of the total number of detected enemy drones that crossed Ukrainian airspace.
"From 5,000, it will be conditionally from 20 to 33%, it can fluctuate. And now the share of interceptors is this number - it's not from those shot down, but generally from those detected, those that flew into the airspace," the researcher told Group 12.
Experts conclude that the Defense Forces are now gradually reaching a certain plateau of effectiveness, specifically in terms of providing weapons of destruction.
It was previously reported that interceptor drones have become available for order from DOT-Chain Defence.
President Volodymyr Zelensky also stated that Ukrainian drone projects were developed outside the country without coordination with the state - this refers to about a dozen interceptor production facilities in different parts of the world.
