A Ukrainian company has developed a loitering munition with an autonomous target tracking system. What are the characteristics of the Flycat from Venator Technologies?
Ukrainian Venator Technologies has shown off an X-wing loitering munition called Flycat, which has an electronic warfare (EW)-resistant navigation system that works without GPS.

The development was presented at the AUSA 2025 exhibition in the USA, writes Oboronka with reference to Army Recognition.
The modular warhead of the product weighs 2.5-3.6 kg and can be high-explosive, cumulative or thermobaric.
The total weight of the munition is 12 kg, it has a pneumatic launch system and an electric motor for flight. The flight duration is 40 minutes with a claimed range of 40 km, and the operating altitude is from 200 to 700 meters with a ceiling of 1000 meters.
The minimum speed is 70 km/h, cruising speed is 85 km/h, and during the final dive it reaches 120 km/h. The weapon is launched from a pneumatic catapult with a 20-minute readiness time.
It is separately noted that thanks to the X-shaped wing, the drone can maneuver on all axes more aggressively than small aircraft-type drones, which is important in the case of attacks on moving targets.
In addition to all of the above, the drone is equipped with an autonomous target tracking system.
