Ukrainian manufacturer Global Mark has released a video of its new BLITZ-2 drone with a twin-fuselage design. The developer positions the device as a multifunctional platform that can be used for both reconnaissance and strike missions.
According to the developer, the maximum speed of BLITZ-2 is up to 160 km/h. The footage shows a ski chassis, which should simplify work where there is no prepared strip, in particular on soil or snow. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the payload, range, flight altitude and duration of stay in the air.
The key feature of the BLITZ-2 is its twin-fuselage design. This arrangement increases flight stability and better distributes the load between the airframe elements. It also allows for the placement of large or modular payloads between the two fuselages and easier integration of various types of reconnaissance equipment or combat loads without significantly shifting the center of mass. The potentially better aerodynamic efficiency of such a scheme is also noted.
The name BLITZ-2 indicates a kinship with the previous drone BLITZ, which Global Mark introduced in October 2025 as an interceptor of enemy UAVs. For BLITZ, an autopilot and an automatic target tracking system were announced, as well as the possibility of photo and video reconnaissance. The device has an electric motor that reduces noise and thermal visibility. Among the parameters that the manufacturer then mentioned, a wingspan of 1.5 m, a length of 1.1 m, a take-off weight of approximately 5 kg, a maximum flight altitude of up to 4000 m, a speed of 90–130 km/h, a range of 30–100 km and up to 60 minutes in the air.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the British-Ukrainian company Trypillian announced the launch of a new aircraft-type drone, the ATOM. Trypillian says that the platform is designed to work at tactical and operational distances and combines reconnaissance and strike tasks.
