A Ukrainian company has created two Fang NRCs. What are they capable of and how do they differ?
An unnamed Ukrainian company has developed two new ground-based robotic complexes — “Fang-1” and “Fang-2.” “Fang-1” can carry cargo of approximately its own weight and receive modules for various tasks, while “Fang-2” can carry 200 kg and tow a trailer weighing up to 400 kg.

Defender Media reports on the developments, citing a company representative.
Both NRCs are currently undergoing codification. Fang-1 has already completed field tests, and Fang-2 has been sent to a combat zone, where it is being tested by the military. The developers expect to receive feedback from them on the platform's performance.
"Fang-1" is the more compact of the two ground robots. It weighs 74 kg and can carry up to 76 kg of cargo, that is, a little more than its own weight. The main purpose of the platform is front-line logistics: the delivery of ammunition, food, ammunition and other equipment. At the same time, the design allows for the installation of various modules. In particular, the manufacturer has provided options for remote mining or converting the NRC into a kamikaze drone.
"Fang-1"
On a single charge, the Fang-1 can travel up to 30 km on the road or 12 km off-road and operate for at least two hours. The robot is also designed for rough terrain: it can climb slopes of up to 30°, overcome vertical obstacles up to 17 cm high and cross trenches up to 20 cm wide.
But "Fang-2" has already been created for transporting heavier loads. The complex itself weighs 200 kg and can take another 200 kg on board. In addition, it is capable of pulling a trailer with a total weight of up to 400 kg. On roads, the NRK accelerates to 13 km/h with a range of up to 50 km. And off-road - up to 8 km/h with a range of up to 35 km. And one charge should be enough for about 3.5 hours of continuous operation. The platform can overcome slopes of up to 30°, obstacles up to 20 cm high and trenches up to 40 cm wide.

Both "Fangs" can be controlled via radio, LTE or satellite. The radio channel operates at a distance of up to 2 km in open terrain and up to 1 km in rough terrain. The operator also receives video from the NRC, and if necessary, an infrared or thermal imaging camera can be installed on the platforms.
However, despite its high carrying capacity, the Fang-2 is not a record holder among Ukrainian NRCs. For example, yesterday dev.ua wrote about the Ravlyk complex, which can carry up to 300 kg, and the mass of the cargo it tows can reachtwo tons.
