This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Hits and smoke were recorded on the territory of the enterprise; the extent of the damage is currently being clarified.
NIIFI is one of the key ones in the Russian military-industrial complex, specializing in space, aviation, and military instrument-making. It is subordinate to the Russian Space Systems holding, which is part of the Roscosmos state corporation.
The plant produces critically important components for Russian weapons: sensors for cruise and ballistic missiles ("Iskander", "Caliber", Kh-101), electronics for combat aircraft (Su-34, Su-35, Tu-95MS aircraft), as well as equipment for military reconnaissance satellites.
The company is under sanctions from the US and Ukraine.
