Ukrainian hackers claim to have obtained documentation on 70 Russian Navy projects, including submarines, robotics, and GPS-free navigation

The Ukrainian Militant community announced the completion of the Poseidon cyber operation. The hackers claim to have obtained a large array of technical documentation from the Russian fleet, from submarine navigation systems to marine robotics and technologies that allow navigation underwater without GPS.
Ukrainian Militant claims that the materials relate to a total of 70 designs of ships, vessels and submarines that Russia is building or modernizing. Among those released is, in particular, a technical design for modifying the navigation system of a Project 955M submarine. This index is used for the 955A Borei-A modification, a Russian strategic nuclear submarine equipped with 16 Bulava ballistic missiles.
The documents also mention submarines of projects 949AM "Antey" and 636.3 "Varshavyanka", frigates of project 22350, corvettes, landing ships and Arctic ships. According to the hackers, for some of these projects they received data on the location of equipment, cable connections, information interfaces, test results, as well as indicators of the accuracy and reliability of the systems.
Ukrainian Militant also claims documents on systems that can pinpoint locations based on the Earth's terrain and geophysical fields. Since GPS almost doesn't work underwater, the device is guided by its own sensors, but over time they accumulate errors. One way to correct this is to compare measured magnetic or gravitational anomalies with an already known map of the area.
The community also found documents on the transition of Russian military hydrography to the S-100 standard. This is a modern international format for digital marine data that allows combining electronic navigational charts, data on depths, currents, water levels, and navigational warnings.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about another operation involving Ukrainian Militant. At that time, Ukrainian cyber experts claimed that they had access to internal data and correspondence of the management of the Russian satellite system "Honets" for several years.
