Ukrainian companies sold chips to Russian defense enterprises

The SBU exposed three enterprises in Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, and Odesa regions that, during a full-scale invasion to circumvent international sanctions, supplied microchips and electronic boards for missiles and drones to the Russian Federation.
These are companies that are part of a large international corporation based in the Russian Federation that manufactures electronic components used in the navigation and control systems of ballistic and cruise missiles such as the Kh-101, Caliber, and Iskander-K. Some of these boards are also used for guidance systems for kamikaze drones, Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems, and onboard navigation for the Ka-52 attack reconnaissance helicopter.
The defendants in the case developed a plan for the systematic supply of electronic components from Ukraine to the Russian Federation, circumventing sanctions: they replaced the end consumer of the products, bought up products in Ukraine and other countries, sent them to a controlled company in the Middle East, which is under international sanctions, and from there to a Russian company, which is also under Western sanctions.
Among the end consumers of the goods are strategic state-owned enterprises of the Russian Federation and enterprises operating in the structure of the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country, in particular JSC «SpetsTechMash».
During the summer of 2022 alone, the participants in the scheme shipped over 1,500 items of microelectronics to Russia for a total amount of over $600,000.
During searches of the company’s officials, material evidence of their work in the interests of the Kremlin was found. A notice of suspicion is being prepared under the same article for other participants in the scheme. Comprehensive measures are underway to bring them to justice.
The National Bank and the Security Service of Ukraine suspect the Ukrainian payment service Fondy of miscoding and connections with the Russian Federation and the DPR. The company rejects the suspicions and asks to provide evidence
