As the authors of the development told the publication «Military», only about two months passed from the start of work on this interceptor to its use against enemy drones.
The first targets of the interceptor drones were the Gerbers and Zala, and now it is also being used against the Shahed.
According to the developers, who did not want to disclose their data to the media, the latest version of the interceptor drone took into account the real requests of the military as much as possible and was significantly improved based on their recommendations.
When designing, real application scenarios were also taken into account: typical threats, target speed, detection and engagement conditions, etc.
The developers shared a video of the downing of a Russian «Shaheed» by their interceptor by fighters of the 47th separate mechanized brigade «Magura».
The new Ukrainian interceptor has a maximum speed of 320 km/h and a cruising speed of 180–200 km/h, as well as a twilight analog camera/thermal imaging camera.
It has the ability to set automatic capture/adjustment and a flight time of up to 20 minutes.
Currently, the Salyut interceptor drone is available on the Brave1 marketplace in a closed catalog with access through registration in the Delta system.
As dev.ua reported, the Ukrainian defense-tech company General Chereshnya has developed a new interceptor drone, General Chereshnya AIR Speed. As the company notes, this is a separate development of the General Chereshnya AIR line of interceptor drones.
Meanwhile, the developer of the Angry Birds drones has upgraded the Backfire strike drone and increased its payload by almost three times.
