«I talked about this in many interviews and reported the concept to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now someone has taken the first step. Even if it is small, it is only the beginning. The first traffic light has appeared on the southern frontline road, signaling the threat of drones,» the military man said.
According to him, the Russians are attacking civilians and military personnel to a depth of 30-40 km. Therefore, such traffic lights, together with safety zones, tightened with nets, can save people’s lives.
Judging by the published photo, the drone traffic light has three positions, indicating the danger of drone attack, threat warning, and «clear skies.» Depending on the situation, the device’s lamps illuminate the necessary message.

In December last year, he said that similar traffic lights had begun to be used by the Russian military, who installed them on frontline roads.
«A red light means that our drone is close, and drivers should not drive, and yellow and green lights mean that there is no threat and you can continue driving. We should borrow and adopt such a system for detecting the approach of drones… The traffic light looks quite simple, but it works. I am sure that we will find specialists who can combine an anti-drone detector with a traffic light. As is known, Russian occupation forces are conducting so-called «human safaris» in Kherson. This is the name given to a targeted terrorist campaign that involves the use of drones to deliberately attack Ukrainian civilians. The close location of Russian troops to the city allows them to use FPV drones to kill and terrorize Kherson residents.
In February 2025, military personnel from the 414th separate brigade of unmanned aircraft systems «Birds of the Magyar» installed electronic reconnaissance and combat systems in Kherson, which prevent Russian drones from hunting Ukrainians.
