The plans include the construction of a new 11,000 m² factory in Mildenhall and the creation of a testing and training centre in Elmsett, Suffolk.
This project will create up to 500 new jobs and training programs in the region.
Recruitment from the UK will begin at the end of this year, and drone production will start in early 2026.
The news comes shortly after Lotus announced 550 job cuts at its headquarters in Hatfield, Norfolk, underlining the importance of new investment for the local economy.
Ukrspecsystems plans to further expand its presence in the UK over the next three years.
Rory Chamberlain, Managing Director of Ukrspecsystems UK, said: «Our Mildenhall plant and Elmsett centre are a testament to our commitment. With our advanced, battle-proven technology and UK expertise in aviation and industry, Ukrspecsystems aims to become a world leader in unmanned systems for civil and military applications, and to make the UK a gateway to international markets.»
UK Defence Procurement Minister Maria Eagle welcomed the initiative: «We support Ukraine and value its advanced drone technology. Working with companies like Ukrspecsystems will give us access to innovative developments that will strengthen our Armed Forces and our partners. This investment will also strengthen our industrial base, create up to 500 jobs and drive economic growth, which is a key part of our future defence industrial strategy.»
Ukrspecsystems, whose drones are actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will present its developments at the DSEI 2025 exhibition in London from September 9 to 12, where it is likely to announce new partnerships in the UK. Think Harder
