Ukrainian military drone simulator UFDS will soon feature multiplayer for team training
The developers of the realistic FPV simulator Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator (UFDS) have announced the launch of a multiplayer mode. A special update for the Starter Edition will be released on June 23, 2026 and will allow pilots to coordinate joint actions in real time.
The developers of the realistic FPV simulator Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator (UFDS) have announced the launch of a multiplayer mode. A special update for the Starter Edition will be released on June 23, 2026 and will allow pilots to coordinate joint actions in real time.
According to the project’s creators, the new mode is designed for teams of up to five players. Users will be able to work out scenarios based on real combat operations, practice interaction during FPV flights, conduct competitive races, or conduct joint flights.
UFDS Starter Edition is a consumer-friendly version of the military simulator. The program offers deep flight simulation with accurate calculations of physics, aerodynamics, and battery discharge in various weather conditions. In addition, the simulator integrates electronic warfare (EW) systems for pilot training in active jamming conditions.
Digital copies of real front-line drones are available for flights, including the Angel Arrow, Mimic 3T, FPV Kamikaze Phantom and LuckyStrike models with the ability to select combat load and adjust PID coefficients. You can control virtual UAVs using standard PlayStation or Xbox gamepads, but for maximum realism, the developers recommend using specialized RC controllers.
The Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator project was created with the participation of veterans of Ukrainian drone units. The simulator was developed as a safe tool for training UAV operators, allowing future military and civilian pilots to master basic control and mission planning skills without the risk of losing expensive equipment. UFDS is available on Steam for 400 UAH.
Earlier, a Ukrainian military man with the nickname Dionis_Aphonich on X (Twitter) said that the TRYP FPV simulator is much more effective than the popular Liftoff for training operators of heavy 7-inch kamikaze drones. In his opinion, it allows cadets to develop the right muscle memory faster thanks to realistic physics and training on moving targets.
