Almost 3,000 companies with foreign owners are registered in Ukraine, 5.9% of which are in the IT sector

Currently, there are 2,997 companies with foreign owners in Ukraine that have revenues of at least UAH 100 million per year, according to Opendatabot.
Almost a quarter of the companies have owners from Cyprus — 694 companies. They are followed by citizens of Germany — they are prominent in 300 companies, and the USA — 292. Next come the Netherlands (239 companies), the United Kingdom (224), Austria (187) and Poland (146). It is worth noting that one company can have multiple owners.

Almost half of all companies with foreign owners are registered in Kyiv — 1,478 businesses. Next are Lviv and Kyiv regions — 223 in each region. The fewest such businesses are in the frontline Kherson and Donetsk regions.

The largest number of companies with foreign owners is in the "Other" category — 36.4% or 1,090.

More than a quarter of all foreign-owned companies operate in wholesale trade — 774. Another 268 companies are in agriculture and 176 are in IT.
