Vodafone Big Data Lab is a Data Science education program created by the telecommunications company due to the growing market demand for data analytics professionals. The project is focused on training personnel for the industry as a whole, although Vodafone sometimes also invites graduates to its own company.
Vodafone Big Data Lab is a Data Science education program created by the telecommunications company due to the growing market demand for data analytics professionals. The project is focused on training personnel for the industry as a whole, although Vodafone sometimes also invites graduates to its own company.
The teaching team consists of two groups: academic specialists from technical universities in Ukraine and around the world, as well as practicing engineers, programmers, and analysts who work with data at Vodafone and other companies. Students get access to working with real Vodafone datasets.
The program provides a knowledge base for starting in Data Science or developing existing skills. The course is designed for 6 months and is structured so that it can be combined with work, although the intensity is high: 12 hours of lectures and 12 hours of independent work per week.

The acquired knowledge is relevant in various industries: economics, production, finance, social sphere, telecommunications, etc.
The course requires serious mobilization from the student. The target audience is adult professionals with technical education who combine studies with work and personal responsibilities.
If a student falls behind due to external circumstances, the team helps to focus on key modules. Auxiliary topics can be worked on later using recordings — access to materials is maintained until the end of 2026. In force majeure situations, the defense may be postponed to a convenient time.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the course resumed operations in March 2022 and continued training even during the first blackouts.
According to students' feedback, the most impressive thing is the depth and quality of the presentation of materials, the combination of theory and practice, and the support of mentors who guide students in the learning process and preparation for defense.
Graduates are employed as Junior Data Scientist, Junior ML Engineer, Junior Analyst, Junior Data Analyst, Junior User Acquisition Analyst in Ukrainian and international companies.
