Vodafone is introducing the «Roaming like at home» principle into its tariffs ahead of Ukraine’s accession to the EU’s single roaming space. Ukrainian subscribers will be able to use tariffs in EU countries without additional charges.
Vodafone is introducing the «Roaming like at home» principle into its tariffs ahead of Ukraine’s accession to the EU’s single roaming space. Ukrainian subscribers will be able to use tariffs in EU countries without additional charges.
For most subscribers, the updated conditions will come into effect on December 23, Vodafone reports. In tariffs without changing the cost, package minutes and part of the gigabytes from the total volume of the tariff can be used both in Ukraine and in roaming in EU countries.
What does «Roaming like at home» mean for Vodafone Ukrainian numbers:
Unlimited incoming calls both in Ukraine and in the EU;
Package minutes for calls to Ukrainian networks are also valid in the EU — outgoing calls to Ukraine and within the country of residence;
Part of the package gigabytes can be used both in Ukraine and in the EU;
Same price for additional package minutes, MB and SMS.
The roaming service will be absent from the archived 4G Smart (Light, XS, XS+), Device, and Light tariffs, whose users the company will offer to switch to other available tariffs and use roaming services if necessary.
Vodafone noted that in December, subscribers will receive a personal SMS with a notification of changes to each tariff.
It was previously reported that mobile operator lifecell will discontinue some tariffs from December 15. In order not to lose access to international roaming, users will need to switch to other packages that will include a certain amount of mobile Internet traffic in the EU at no additional charge.
