Ukrainian defense-tech company Vyriy Industries has announced the termination of its strategic partnership in the Blyskavka project and its exit from further development. The company is currently focusing its own engineering and manufacturing capabilities on scaling its products and new R&D developments.
Results of cooperation and product transfer
During the partnership, Vyriy Industries helped the Blyskavka team establish serial production of the complex and create a basis for its expansion. Thanks to the adjusted processes, the project has been operating without Vyriy Industries' operational participation since the beginning of 2026.
After signing the agreement, the Blyskavka strike UAV will be removed from the Vyriy product portfolio. From now on, the Blyskavka team will carry out the development, sales, implementation and support of the complex completely independently, attracting a new partner for financial scaling.
"We joined Blyskavka to help scale the product for the needs of the army. We supported the project financially, helped establish mass production, and shared our expertise. Blyskavka remains necessary for the front and we have found someone who can only increase financial support, while we direct our resources to other tasks for the army," said Oleksiy Babenko, CEO of Vyriy Industries.
He also emphasized that the company maintains friendly relations with the project team and is ready to provide consulting support. The parties are not disclosing commercial and legal details of the agreement.
About the Blyskavka project
Blyskavka is an aircraft-type strike UAV with a warhead weighing up to 9 kg. The drone was developed by a team of engineers, veterans, and active servicemen of the 8th Separate Regiment of the Special Operations Forces based on a converted captured Russian platform, the Molniya.
According to the developers, Blyskavka is currently used in over 150 units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and is among the top three in terms of the number of hits among aircraft-type strike UAVs.
