This was stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine by the developer of Barca, who does not publish his data for security reasons.
«We already have a joint venture in Europe, and the plant will start operating in early September. According to our production plans, the first products from the joint venture will be delivered to our Defense Forces starting on October 10,» he said.
According to the developer of Barca, the biggest problem for increasing production is the delivery time of turbojet engines.
«But nothing prevents such scaling today, especially after the state gave us the opportunity to create joint ventures. With the entry into official and understandable exports, we see opportunities only to increase and expand production capacity,» he said.
The developer also added that their team managed to significantly improve the product’s characteristics, as today it has a range of up to 1,000 km, a warhead of up to 60 kg, and a speed of over 700 km/h.
At the same time, «Bars», in his words, is offered as a modular platform that can have certain characteristics depending on needs, so it can be used as a deep strike, a middle strike, and a front strike.
The developer called the main advantage the developed R&D team, «which is not limited and „not blinded“ in the search for new solutions,» and the most difficult challenge is the stability of communication.
