Wix already has offices in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Lviv. Wix Kyiv Design Hub is the name of the newly created design team, which is part of the Kyiv office. The team will focus exclusively on design and will play an important role in the company’s global design strategy.

“Kyiv is a powerful design center with renowned design schools, major industry events, and an active creative community. By creating a specialized design team, Wix is ​​not just expanding its presence, but also investing in the development of the Kyiv design ecosystem — supporting innovation, helping talent grow, and strengthening the impact of design on the company’s products and brand,” the company told us.

The team will work on large-scale design and content projects that will shape Wix's visual style, improve UX, and strengthen the brand.

The main areas of work include:

• web design;
• content design;
• brand design;
• and other creative tasks that will support the company's products.

Special attention will be paid to new products. Collaborating with Wix design teams in Tel Aviv and Lithuania, the Kyiv hub will help create innovative digital solutions and expand the capabilities of web design.

Who will join the team?

Ultimately, Wix Kyiv Design Hub will bring together 50 specialists, forming a structured and dynamic team that will include:

• Head of Design — will manage the studio and coordinate its work with Wix's global design strategy;
• Design Ops — will be responsible for the efficiency of work processes;
• Team Leads — will oversee design teams and mentor designers;
• designers of various specializations will provide a wide range of design solutions;
• Focus on young professionals will provide opportunities for new talents to flourish.

" A total of three to five design teams will work, organized on a studio basis. They will develop large-scale design projects and create high-quality creative solutions. This structure will make the Kyiv hub a key center of design innovation at Wix," the company noted.

Wix is ​​actively looking for designers to join the Kyiv Design Hub team. What are the main criteria you follow when hiring?

Wix is ​​actively looking for 50 designers in three categories: Junior Web & Brand Designer, Web & Brand Designer, and Design Lead. While there are only three roles currently open, there are many positions available in each of these categories. As long as the role remains posted on the site, the company continues to look for talented candidates.

Main criteria for candidates:

• strong design skills — experience in UI/UX, visual storytelling, and branding;
• excellent portfolio — demonstrates creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving ability;
• flexibility and desire to develop — openness to learning and growing at Wix;

What events are planned for 2025?

In 2025, Wix will actively unite the community and expand the Kyiv Design Hub. Already in March, the company will host a special event in the Kyiv office, inspired by the Screen to Screen series in New York. About 100 participants are expected, and the main part of the event will be a panel discussion on web design with the participation of three local design agencies. This is a great opportunity to network, share knowledge and strengthen the design community. Drinks and snacks will be provided for guests. Wix also plans to create a local Playground — a space for the design team's professional growth. It will host:

• training programs for advanced training;
• creative activities to develop innovation and collaboration;
• guild events to strengthen design culture and expertise.

This initiative will also help Wix become a leading voice in the Ukrainian design community. The company will be able to organize events, sponsor major design conferences, and collaborate with design schools by creating web design courses on Wix Studio.

Playground Academy student program in Kyiv this summer

Playground Academy is a student program from Wix that helps support a new generation of creative talent. It will be held for the first time in Kyiv in the summer of 2025, giving students the opportunity to:

• gain practical experience working on real design projects;
• learn from leading Wix designers through mentorship and workshops;
• build a strong portfolio and try working in a professional studio environment.

This initiative is part of Wix's investment in supporting Ukrainian designers and creating opportunities for career growth for young professionals.

The program will be a blended format, combining online and offline sessions, and will accommodate approximately 15 students. This is a paid program, and while Wix does not guarantee that graduates will become part of the team, the best participants may have the opportunity to continue working with the company.

Application process and deadlines:

• Applications will be accepted starting in mid-March and will continue until the end of April;
• candidates must fill out a questionnaire;
• Selected applicants will be interviewed via Zoom with the Wix team;
• Final results will be announced in early May.
