YouTube has blocked 12 resources in Ukraine that were spreading Kremlin narratives, justifying war, and raising funds to support the Russian army. The channels of individuals against whom the National Security and Defense Council has imposed sanctions were also blocked.
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
Among the limited resources are the personal pages of Russian actors, Zet bloggers, "military personnel", writers, as well as charitable foundations that directly finance the Russian occupation army.
In particular, the following channels are now unavailable to Ukrainian users:
Vitaly Gogunsky, a Russian actor who publicly supports Putin's policies and the war against Ukraine;
The "Close People" Foundation, an organization that raises funds for the needs of the Russian military;
Dmitry Borysenko — Russian journalist and propagandist;
Vladimir Romanov — the Russian so-called "military leader";
German Sadulayev, Russian writer and propagandist;
Propaganda resource "Military Schedule";
A sanctioned former Ukrainian MP, as well as a number of other pro-Kremlin resources.
All of these media platforms were engaged in the dissemination of disinformation narratives beneficial to the Kremlin, promoted direct hostile propaganda, and systematically justified the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine.
Foreign Policy
