Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach said this in an interview with Forbes Ukraine. The service will use data from the autobus.gov.ua website, which allows you to check the legality of a carrier. It is also planned to be updated and add more functionality for carriers.
«[The application] will become the only official resource for international transportation in Ukraine. It will be something like the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile application, but for buses,» Derkach noted.
The government application for international bus flights is planned to be launched in test mode in the fall of 2025. Users will be able to leave feedback about the carrier and routes, and complaints will be sent directly to Ukrtransbezpeky.
According to Serhiy Derkach, the ministry has completed preliminary work on creating the application without attracting additional funding. Full-fledged development will be supported by «international partners.»
It was previously reported that Ukrainian ride-hailing service Uklon may launch a bus service from Ukraine to Europe next year. The company will choose between this service and scooter rental.
