The perpetrator turned out to be a mobilized soldier from the Dnipropetrovsk region, who held the position of assistant UAV operator.

As law enforcement officers found out , Russians drew attention to the serviceman through Telegram channels to find acquaintances. The Russians recruited him through a fake account of a virtual girl - it was on her behalf that the Russian special services interrogated the secret information they needed.
The traitor passed on to the enemy data about his reconnaissance battalion and adjacent units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Vovchansk direction, which were carrying out combat missions just 10 km from the front line.
SBU officers acted proactively — they secured the locations of Ukrainian units in advance and detained the suspect near the training ground.
During the search, a smartphone was seized from the detainee, which contained correspondence and evidence of illegal activities in favor of the Russian Federation.
SBU investigators informed the informant of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law).
The perpetrator is currently in custody and faces up to 8 years in prison. The issue of additional qualification of the detainee's actions under the article on high treason is also being resolved.
