According to DownDetector, problems have been observed for the past few hours.

Most of the complaints come from the American region.

The outage is also causing disruptions to other services. Among the affected services are Roblox, Clash Royale, My Fitness Pal, Life360, Clash of Clans, Fortnite, Wordle, Coinbase, Duolingo, Slack, Smartsheet, PokemonGo, Epic Games, PlayStation Network, Peloton, and Rocket League.

UPD. According to Jess Weatherbed, quoted by The Verge, the cause of the outage remains unclear at this time. The company confirmed that it is «investigating elevated error rates and latency for many AWS services in the US-EAST-1 region,» although the problems also affected services in other regions of the world. According to the information on the AWS status panel, several services are «impacted» by operational issues.
The outage began at 10:10 a.m. Kyiv time. Amazon said it was actively engaged in work to «mitigate the issue and understand the root cause.»
Among the affected services are Amazon’s own platforms, as well as giants like Alexa, Snapchat, and the popular game Fortnite. In addition, the corporate communications service Slack and the Canva editor are down.
Users are reporting problems en masse: Alexa voice assistant is not responding to requests, and pre-set alarms are not going off. Perplexity platform CEO Aravind Srinivas also confirmed to the X network that Perplexity is currently down.
It is currently unknown when regular operation of all services will be restored.
UPD2. Amazon Web Services announced in its latest update that it has fixed an issue with a regional gateway on the US East Coast that caused an outage. According to the service status panel, most services are now working correctly, although you may experience slower responses or increased error rates during recovery.
Earlier, the founder of the jobboard Djinni reported a service outage, which also caused a crash on the platform.
