Each of these gambling organizers received two fines:
"We respond to every violation and all citizens' appeals, ensuring compliance with the rules. This forms a legal and responsible gambling market in Ukraine," PlayCity noted .
We will remind that a woman who organized the work of an illegal gambling establishment in the capital was tried in Kyiv. For this, she received a fine of 170,000 UAH. She was also banned from engaging in activities related to the organization and conduct of gambling for one year.
The amount of the fine for PlayCity for illegal advertising of online casinos is UAH 4.8 million. The regulator has repeatedly fined bloggers for this. The owner of the channel "Trukha Ukraine" was also ordered to pay UAH 4.8 million after checking the content for compliance with the law. Currently, dev.ua is appealing the fine.
But PlayCity plans to review the approach to fines for advertising violations in the gambling market.
The head of the regulator, Gennady Novikov, said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine: "Regarding the (current) size of the fine: we do not determine it, we only apply it, since it is prescribed in the law. In the future, we plan to differentiate violations by the degree of social risk: the fine for advertising an illegal business will be larger, for less significant violations - smaller."
In December , the state agency summed up the results of six months of work. According to its data, during this time, more than 2,500 illegal online casino sites were blocked, more than 280 social media pages advertising illegal services were removed, and more than UAH 52 million in fines were imposed on bloggers and media outlets for promoting gambling without permits.
