As the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports, this became possible thanks to the recently adopted Order No. 687.
«The Ministry of Defense continues the gradual depaperization of the army and the reduction of the bureaucratic burden on the military. Thanks to this order, many military personnel will be able to save their time both on keeping personnel records and on quickly entering relevant information and correcting errors,» — said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization.
At the same time, it is reported that the electronic journal can be kept exclusively on a computer for official use.
The program will have several tabs that will replace the contents of the following magazines and books that were kept on paper:
- name list of personnel;
- personnel record book;
- name list for evening verification;
- a book of personnel records;
- book of alphabetical accounting of personnel;
- a book of alphabetical records of officers, privates, noncommissioned officers, and noncommissioned officers;
- record book of temporarily absent and temporarily arrived personnel in the military unit;
- book of records of outgoing and incoming personnel;
- daily information;
- a control log of personnel records;
- a book of staff and position records of officers, privates, noncommissioned officers, and noncommissioned officers;
- daily information of a military unit for a special period.
According to the order, until September 1, 2025, a period has been introduced for the transition from paper journals to electronic ones for those who do not have the technical ability to do so immediately.
