The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 518.3 million from the state budget reserve fund to strengthen the backup information systems of state bodies. The decision was made in the face of constant Russian attacks and threats to the country's digital infrastructure.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky.
According to the head of government, the funding will allow for the creation of a reliable distributed infrastructure that will guarantee the uninterrupted operation of government services even during critical incidents.
The allocated funds will be directed to:
deployment of territorially separated backup environments;
expanding and strengthening cloud infrastructure;
purchase of server equipment and software;
Cybersecurity: implementing effective backup and rapid data recovery systems.
The decision should significantly increase the resilience of government agencies, allowing them to quickly restore systems and public services in the event of physical damage to data centers due to missile attacks or large-scale enemy cyberattacks.
"We must be prepared for different scenarios, including the worst ones," emphasized Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky.
