The State Budget of Ukraine received UAH 8.7 billion in "Google tax" from digital giants
Since the beginning of 2026, the world leaders of the digital market have replenished the Ukrainian budget by more than 8.7 billion hryvnias thanks to the "Google tax". In currency equivalent, this is $105.4 million and 80.4 million euros. This amount was paid in the first five months by foreign companies that provide electronic services within the country and are registered as VAT payers.
Since the beginning of 2026, the world leaders of the digital market have replenished the Ukrainian budget by more than 8.7 billion hryvnias thanks to the "Google tax". In currency equivalent, this is $105.4 million and 80.4 million euros. This amount was paid in the first five months by foreign companies that provide electronic services within the country and are registered as VAT payers.
This was reported by the Acting Head of the State Tax Service, Lesya Karnaukh.
Compared to the same period last year, revenues increased significantly:
+ 6.4 million euros;
+ 21.1 million US dollars.
The biggest payers: Google, Apple, Valve, Meta, Sony, Etsy, and Netflix.
In addition, 12 more companies have become VAT payers in Ukraine since the beginning of 2026. In total, 154 such payers are registered in Ukraine today.
