President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Defense Forces used Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles nine times to strike Russian targets.
This is reported by «Military» with reference to the French publication Le Figaro. According to the president, the missiles of the defense company Fire Point were used in «real operations».
Previously, there were three known cases of the use of Flamingos, including in combined strikes with Neptune missiles. For the first time, they hit an outpost and a parking lot of FSB patrol boats in Crimea.
«Last week — I won’t say how many — our pair of Neptune and Flamingos was used. You can analyze the corresponding results yourself. We are not saying that this is a massive use of this pair. We are simply saying that there is use, and there are the first tangible results of this particular weapon of ours,» Zelensky said.
In late August, Fire Point released footage of the launch of a long-range FP-5 «Flamingo» cruise missile and an attack by FP-1 kamikaze drones on Russian military facilities.
Recall that the Ukrainian company Fire Point has started producing 50 Flamingo missiles per month and plans to produce 7 missiles per day by the end of the year.
