User WhatHeSaidVO shared a profile photo of his grandmother, who achieved the highest rank of Diamond Grandmaster and reached level 1720 in Microsoft Solitaire Collection.
According to her grandson, this achievement is just the tip of the iceberg. Before the program update, which turned the game into an “ad-filled horror,” the woman managed to play more than 100,000 games in the old version of “Kosynka.” Despite the aggressive monetization of the modern application, the pensioner continues to play the free version, simply ignoring the commercials.
"I can't even begin to imagine how many tens of thousands of hours she spent playing this game," the author of the post writes.

The gaming community greeted the news with respect for the elderly woman and called her result “legendary.” However, the same cannot be said for her grandson, who received a portion of criticism for not resolving the issue with advertising in the game. In the photo with the grandmother’s account, the naked eye can see an advertisement for a gadget that supposedly helps eliminate knee pain.
The most popular suggestion among users was the idea of giving grandma a gift: installing an ad blocker (for example, AdGuard) or purchasing the premium version of the game so that nothing distracts the grandmaster from setting new records.
As WhatHeSaidVO noted, he proposed this idea to his grandmother, but according to him, she replied that it would be a waste of money.
Recently, more and more elderly people are getting into video games. We previously wrote about 78-year-old Lyudmila Kulakova, who loves playing the game “Metro” from the Ukrainian studio 4A Games. The company gave Ms. Lyudmila a gaming laptop because she was forced to leave her PC behind during the evacuation from her home in the city of Bilozersk, Donetsk region.
