Over the past 5 years, Kyivstar subscribers have started making fewer calls, while mobile Internet consumption has grown rapidly.
This was stated by Kyivstar CEO Oleksandr Komarov in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
According to Komarov, people began to spend much more time online.
"The main change is that there is less voice and twice as many gigabytes. Compared to the pre-war period, subscribers talk on average 20 minutes less per month. I mean classic voice communication. Instead, mobile data consumption is growing significantly," he said.
Since 2021, the amount of gigabytes used per subscriber has doubled — from 7 GB to 15 GB per month.
As of April 2026, Kyivstar serves over 22 million mobile subscribers and maintains market leadership.
