Activitis Financial Company and VisionFund Ukraine Announce Cooperation. What Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurs Will Receive as a Result

The event was moderated by Activitis Project and Program Manager Ilya Koshelev.

The collaboration between the companies, announced at the press conference, includes:

1. Expanding access to financing for micro, small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine.
2. Beginning of development of a program for financing franchise businesses.
3. Promoting joint initiatives of the non-banking sector to improve the regulatory environment and business ethics:

• Promoting clear and understandable rules in the financial market for the sustainable development of the industry and attracting new participants.
• Implementing international standards and best practices to increase investor confidence and ensure wider access to financing for small businesses.
• Attracting international investments and donor support to increase financing volumes and create mutually beneficial opportunities for micro, small and medium-sized businesses within the framework of the Activitis and VisionFund Ukraine programs.

This is the first example of collaboration between the financial company Activitis and VisionFund Ukraine, which opens up new horizons for the Ukrainian financial market through the exchange of international and local experience. In addition, the combination of VisionFund Ukraine’s global experience with Activitis' local expertise will help create innovative financial products adapted to the needs of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and expand financial inclusion. The development of a joint program of Activitis and VisionFund Ukraine for financing franchises is an example of a solution and efforts aimed at supporting segments that have the potential to become drivers of economic growth, but currently experience a lack of financing.

Franchising is the safest way to start a business, because the franchisor provides an established and proven business model. For aspiring or existing entrepreneurs who want to launch a franchise business, the Activitis and VisionFund Ukraine program is a credit solution that provides the opportunity to obtain financing for the launch of a new franchise facility based on a previously analyzed and verified franchise model.

The program, announced by the companies, aims to develop small businesses, create jobs and support the local economy by scaling successful business models. 80% of those interested in franchising are experienced entrepreneurs or managers who have saved up money for their own business. A significant part of the franchisees are immigrants from other regions looking for opportunities to develop their own business, as well as women seeking to start their own business.

One of the key obstacles to the sustainable development of franchising is the insufficient level of financing. Entrepreneurs are forced to rely on their own limited savings, which slows down the pace of development. And this is what will be solved with the help of the Activitis program and VisionFund Ukraine.
