In a YouTube Gaming announcement, the closed beta of Playables Builder allows YouTube creators to develop games without coding skills using prompts for Gemini 3. They can create new games by uploading a written description of what they want their game to look like, or by uploading images or videos to give Google AI a reference.

Games developed in Builder will be immediately available to users in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, and will be hosted in a special YouTube Playables section.
YouTube Minigames launched for all users in May 2024 with over 75 individual titles, including older games that were originally featured on Google’s HTML minigame service, GameSnacks.
