The largest Polish marketplace Allegro is preparing to enter the Ukrainian market. Already in June this year, Ukrainian buyers will have the opportunity to order goods from Polish sellers, and in the future, the company plans to launch a full-fledged local platform Allegro.ua and attract Ukrainian businesses to it.
This was reported by the Polish publication wiadomoscihandlowe.pl, citing its own sources. According to the journalists, the project is divided into several stages, and preparations for its launch are already in the final stage.
In the first phase, scheduled for June 2026, customers living in Ukraine will be able to buy goods on Allegro. Initially, several hundred Polish sellers will be involved in the project, and the Ukrainian operator Nova Post will act as a logistics partner. In the near future, the company plans to launch a pilot project in the friends & family format, and the details of scaling are planned to be discussed at a large meeting with Allegro’s key business partners in June.
The next step will be to connect a wider range of Polish companies to the platform. However, the main goal of the marketplace is to launch a full-fledged Allegro.ua platform for local Ukrainian sellers. According to unofficial data, this integration may take place as early as 2027. This will create serious competition for the current leaders of Ukrainian e-commerce, in particular the Rozetka and Prom marketplaces.
Allegro explains the phased launch as a desire to act cautiously and avoid the financial and operational mistakes that the company made during previous attempts to enter other international markets.
Recall that the Polish company Allegro is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Central and Eastern Europe. In recent years, the marketplace has been actively expanding its presence in neighboring countries, in particular in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In turn, the Ukrainian «Nova Poshta» is actively developing its own network of Nova Post branches in Poland, ensuring fast cross-border delivery of parcels between countries.
