The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) confirmed receipt of an application to acquire a stake in the Ukrainian miltech company Fire Point, known for its Flamingo missiles.
The AMCU informed Forbes Ukraine about this. The application from the EDGE defense group from the United Arab Emirates was received on December 30, 2025.
Earlier, sources of «BBC Ukraine» reported that Fire Point was valued at $2.5 billion, and the share for the acquisition of EDGE is 30% — approximately $760 million. They noted that the application has already been sent to the AMCU. Without the regulator’s approval, such a deal will not be able to be completed.
«The application and the documents attached to it are being analyzed for compliance with the requirements stipulated by the Regulation on the procedure for considering applications and cases on the concentration of business entities,» EDGE commented on the appeal to the AMCU.
«In case of any inexplicable delays, we write a letter to the president and the minister of defense.» Fire Point top managers told how the company receives government contracts and cooperates with officials
