Ukrainian developer launches Amorly, an app for couples that wants to become "Duolingo for relationships"
Developer Serhii Pik (@serhii.pik) spoke in Threads about the launch of Amorly, an app with questions for couples, which, according to the author, is designed to solve the main problem of similar products: users answer a few questions for the first day or two, and then forget about the app because it doesn’t remind them of itself.
"I believe I have made the BEST app for improving relationships" The main feature is questions for couples, you answer and get to know each other better. There is also a generation of dates and ideas for gifts, but this is a secondary feature. There are many such applications like mine, but they all have one problem — there are questions, couples use the application for a day or two and successfully forget about it, because the application itself does not remind them, that is, it does not form a habit," the IT expert noted.
The main feature is questions for couples that help partners get to know each other better. Secondary functions are generating ideas for dates and gifts.
The key difference of Amorly, according to the developer, is not the set of questions per se (there are many such applications), but an attempt to form a habit of opening the application every day. Therefore, the interface is minimized: there is practically one button on the main screen, and the mechanics resemble Duolingo.
The author notes that the app has recently launched and is currently collecting feedback from users. You can try Amorly for free with a trial.
The description on the app page is a little different, emphasizing personalized messages: Amorly uses AI to generate romantic texts, date ideas, and gestures for a specific partner, rather than typical online advice. According to user reviews, AI also selects date locations and gift options based on a partner’s responses to surveys.
The app is free to download, but unlimited messages and other premium features are available through a subscription (from $5.99 to $29.99 depending on the period). Amorly is in the top 10 in the Lifestyle category in the Ukrainian App Store, has a rating of 4.9 out of 28 ratings, and is rated 13+.
Apple’s privacy card states that the app collects data for tracking across other services, as well as contact information, content (emails, photos/videos), and usage data for analytics, personalization, and advertising.
