In 2024, 80,000 vacancies were published on Djinni, which is 22% less than in 2023. At the same time, the number of vacancies increased this year, rather than decreasing like last year.
The only group of vacancies that has grown compared to the previous year is vacancies without experience (+17%), but most of them are non-technical.
The biggest drop is in vacancies for the most experienced (-35%).
At the beginning of the year, there were 90,000 candidates searching on Djinni. By mid-December, there were already 82,000.
Mostly Juniors are disappearing from search: since January, their number has decreased by 25%, and the only exception in this group is the data analytics (+27%).
On the contrary, the number of candidates with 7+ years of experience increased, but only by 2%. This is especially true for technical management positions, DevOps, and recruiters. .
The number of marketers with 2-4 years of experience also increased by 10-15%.

This year, candidates submitted nearly 2.8 million reviews to Djinni, compared to 3.5 million in 2023.
The average number of job postings per year decreased from 24 to 16.
During the year, 117,000 candidates sent resumes and 130,000 received at least one offer to consider a vacancy.
In January, 30,000 candidates received offers. In October, this number was a record 38,700, and in November, 35,000.
Recruiters responded to 45% of responses, candidates responded to 38% of offers.
The marketing category remains in first place throughout the year in terms of the number of offers, as well as the number of vacancies. In the fourth quarter, candidates in this category received almost 12% of all offers. The JavaScript category is now in second place again — 7% of offers. Design has risen sharply to third place — 5,6% of offers this quarter, compared to 3% last year.
The Sales category, which was in third place last quarter, is now in seventh place. The share of offers for DevOps, Node.js, and Java developers has also decreased. The share of offers for business analysts and testers has increased.

This year, Djinni hired about 800 candidates with salaries of $5,000 or higher. That’s almost 10% of hires, the same share as in 2021. Last year, the share of expensive hires was 13%, and the year before that, it was 16%.
The most expensive hires are in the Java category — as many as 88.

JavaScript has become the most competitive category instead of QA.
Front-end vacancies receive the most responses at the end of the year — over 50 (last year 75).
In second place are Testers with an average of 45 job postings per month. And this is a serious drop, because last year there were over 100.
Design remained in third place — 30 reviews.
And almost 30 reviews from Java developers, who rose from fourth to sixth place. In this category, reviews also decreased over the year, but not as much as in the others.
The only major category where there are more responses this year than last year is devops: there were 9 responses per month, now there are 12.
