According to Streams Charts, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl was among the top five most popular categories in the Ukrainian-language segment of Twitch in 2024 and attracted the largest number of Ukrainian-language streamers at the same time. What other games were watched by Twitch users in Ukraine?
In 2024, Ukrainian-language broadcasts on Twitch generated a total of over 48.5 million hours of viewing, which is 20% more than in 2023. This is stated in a study by the Ukrainian analytical platform Streams Charts, which provides detailed information about the global live streaming market.
It is noted that the most popular sections at the end of the year were the games Counter-Strike and Dota 2, as well as the non-game category Just Chatting. The top five also included the section STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, although the title was released only at the end of November last year. It set several records in Ukrainian live streaming — for example, no other game has gathered so many Ukrainian-speaking streamers at the same time.
The top 10 in terms of hours watched also included games such as World of Tanks, Grand Theft Auto V, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Valorant, and Hearthstone.
The study also indicated that in the first quarter of 2024, the number of unique viewers of Ukrainian-language broadcasts exceeded 1.3 million people per quarter. By the end of the year, this number decreased slightly, but still remained above one million.
«The Ukrainian-speaking Twitch audience continues to grow year after year, while remaining quite conservative in terms of viewers' gaming preferences. As before, Counter-Strike and Dota 2 occupy dominant positions in the language segment thanks to esports broadcasts. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl also showed good viewership statistics, but this game was more of an exception to the general rules and trends,» Streams Charts notes.
