Anthropic has announced the launch of a new Skills feature for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users. Skills allow users to create specialized folders (containers) with predefined instructions and context that Claude can download and use in a project.
Instead of having to enter long instructions or provide background documents each time, users can save this data once in a Skill folder.
Consistency and automation: Skills helps maintain a consistent style, tone, and standards across all the output Claude generates. This is ideal for brand book compliance or corporate legal requirements.
Specialized context: Skills folders can contain:
Corporate instructions and guidelines.
Legal provisions for links.
Brand tone samples and scripts.
Productivity Improvement: The new feature saves the user time because they don't have to constantly "teach" Claude how to react to certain data or perform similar tasks.
Claude asks about the user's workflow, creates the folder structure, formats the SKILL.md file, and bundles the necessary resources. No manual editing of files is required.
Skills are available across all Claude products, including the web app, Claude Code, Developer Platform, and Agent SDK.
Anthropic previously launched a new model, the Claude Sonnet 4.5 , which it says delivers the best results in coding tests. The company claims that the Claude Sonnet 4.5 can create fully-ready applications, not just prototypes.
