Dreaming is part of Anthropic's strategy to reimagine software development and other intellectual work with increasingly autonomous tools. The new feature is integrated into their recent Claude Managed Agents product.
This technique is designed to improve the system's memory by performing assessments between sessions. It will review old behavior and look for patterns, then help agents establish better ways of working and reduce errors.
It is currently available upon request as a research preview.
The ability for agents to remember and learn from their previous work could make Anthropic's tools more accurate and productive over time, increasing their value to paying customers.
