As Anthropic notes , the new terms will allow users to delegate larger and more complex tasks to AI. In particular, the expanded limits will be useful for:
research into the accounts of dozens of companies;
creating regular reports on campaigns;
working with financial models that span multiple spreadsheets;
automation and scheduling of tasks for independent execution.
The updated limits are already in effect for subscribers of the Pro ($20 per month), Max ($100 per month) and corporate users (Team) tariff plans.
It is important to note that the changes apply only to the Claude Cowork platform. The limitations for other Anthropic products: the web version, the Claude mobile app, the Claude Chat desktop client, and the Claude Code development environment remain unchanged.
Recall that Anthropic introduced Cowork as a more accessible version of Claude Code. Integrated into the Claude Desktop application, it allows the user to define a specific folder for the AI to access. Claude can read and edit files in it, guided by instructions from a standard chat window. In fact, it is an isolated environment of Claude Code that does not require technical skills.
