Previously, access to ElevenLabs voice libraries was only available through a web browser, but now users can use the mobile app, TechCrunch reports.
To generate a voice clip in the ElevenLabs app, simply type or paste copied text and then select the appropriate voice to create an audio recording. The free plan gives users access to approximately 10 minutes of audio recording.
ElevenLabs also announced that the app has access to its new v3 alpha model, which allows users to control intonations using tags.
ElevenLab’s head of mobile development, Jack McDermott, said that the company decided to create a mobile application when they saw that many content creators were using its product from smartphones via a browser.
«Over the past year, we’ve seen an explosion of creativity in our community—content creators, marketers, educators, broadcasters, and professionals are using ElevenLabs to bring their projects to life. Many of them have been coming to ElevenLabs from mobile web browsers and asking for a faster, more intuitive, and more powerful experience designed specifically for mobile», — he noted.
With the app, the company will compete with other voice cloning and generation tools such as Speechify and Captions.
Recall that last fall, ElevenLabs added support for over 20 languages. Among them are Ukrainian, Polish, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, and Arabic.
In early 2025, ElevenLabs technology translated a 3-hour interview between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and famous US blogger Lex Friedman. The conversation can be watched and listened to in three languages simultaneously — English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
