Apple is preparing a new feature for AirPods that will allow real-time conversation translation, Bloomberg reports . Thanks to this, users will be able to receive instant translation of speech that will be played on AirPods. For example, if an English-speaking user is talking to a Spanish-speaking person, the iPhone will translate what was said and broadcast the result to the headphones, and the user's response will be played back to the person in their language.
This update is part of Apple's global software reboot this year, including the most extensive redesign of iOS and macOS. In addition, iOS 19 will receive improved translation technology.
Apple is also continuing to work on new AirPods models. The third-generation AirPods Pro is expected to be released, as well as headphones with built-in cameras and artificial intelligence elements for analyzing the environment.
