A smart speaker with a display should appear next year and will be part of the promotion of entry-level smart home products.
Home security is seen as another big growth opportunity. The new cameras will form the basis of Apple’s security system, which will be able to automate household functions. This approach should help make Apple’s ecosystem of products more attractive to consumers.
It’s all part of an effort to restore Apple’s reputation as an innovative company. Its latest ambitious project, the Vision Pro headset, failed to succeed, and the design of its most popular devices has remained largely unchanged for years.
