Humain Chat runs on Allam's large-scale language model, which is designed based on Islamic values and heritage, Bloomberg reports .
The app is initially available only in Saudi Arabia. It is available in two languages: Arabic and English, and will also work with several Arabic dialects, including Egyptian and Lebanese.
According to Tarek Amin, the company’s CEO, the launch is “a historic milestone in our mission to create sovereign AI that is technically advanced and culturally authentic.” He emphasized that the AI was developed in Saudi Arabia by Saudi specialists. The chatbot development team included 120 AI specialists, half of whom are women.
According to Amin, Allam is trained to work with data sets and security measures that reflect the culture and values of the region.
