According to the author, each entry in the archive contains a link to the video materials, their archive copy, cryptographic hash, and the date of fixation. Information can be provided anonymously.
«The goal is to preserve evidence for years — for complaints to the ECHR and the UN Committee, when the time for accountability comes after the war,» Babunc wrote.
He explained why he believes it is important to document such materials now. In particular, videos can be deleted, channels blocked, and witnesses lost over time, making it difficult to further confirm the circumstances of the events.
The author also emphasizes that an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights is possible only after going through all national courts, which can take years. That is why, according to him, the long-term preservation of the evidence base is critically important.
In addition, the platform allows for multiple testimonies to be submitted in one case. According to the developer, this does not create duplicates, but rather strengthens the evidence base.
