ARX Robotics and ROBONEERS integrated the Sabre combat module into the GEREON robotic platform
The German company ARX Robotics and the Ukrainian defense technology developer ROBONEERS have successfully completed the initial integration and testing of the remotely controlled combat module "Shable" based on the GEREON ground robotic complex (NRC).
The German company ARX Robotics and the Ukrainian defense technology developer ROBONEERS have successfully completed the initial integration and testing of the remotely controlled combat module "Shable" based on the GEREON ground robotic complex (NRC).
This step was a continuation of the strategic partnership established on October 4, 2026 in Kyiv in the presence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
By the end of 2026, the companies plan to fully integrate the Shably modules in configurations with the M2 machine gun and the MK 19 (M) grenade launcher onto the GEREON platform. The first deliveries of the systems will take place in accordance with the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Synergy of fire and mobility
The combination of the GEREON platform with the Sabre combat module allows for the creation of a single high-precision combat system: GEREON provides high mobility, reconnaissance, surveillance, and evacuation or logistics functions, while the Sabre is responsible for fire support and target engagement.
“Modern armed forces require platforms that can quickly adapt to different missions, integrate new technologies, and seamlessly interact with existing systems. Together with ROBONEERS, we are demonstrating that new defense companies can operate at the speed that the modern battlefield demands,” said Maximilian Wied, CFO and co-founder of ARX Robotics.
ROBONEERS CEO Anton Skrypnyk emphasized that the Sabre module is designed to adapt to the needs of military units: “The integration with the GEREON platform demonstrates this interoperability and shows how both companies are accelerating the deployment of much-needed capabilities on the front lines.”
Deepening cooperation and large-scale production
The deployment of the Sabre combat module on the GEREON base is part of a larger cooperation between the two defense companies. Earlier, ARX Robotics and ROBONEERS signed an agreement to create a joint venture, ARX Industries.
The joint venture is expected to produce the Rys Pro NRC in Germany and Ukraine, with a planned production volume of several thousand systems during the first year of production. The GEREON series currently constitutes the largest fleet of Western-made NRCs already deployed and actively used in combat conditions in Ukraine.
