The project calculates the queue for one position and assesses the chances of specialists receiving an offer.
According to the developer, the main goal of the project is to soberly show the current situation on the labor market, where the number of open positions is decreasing, while the flow of specialists and course graduates continues to grow.
"The goal is to show the situation on the market through the ratio of the number of candidates and vacancies. Because now there are fewer vacancies, and there are no fewer candidates. On the contrary, the queue is only growing, and each specialty has its own special level... Well, now a short rating of who is in what position now," says Mark Berladin.
In the AnalITika application, the developer compares the job search to a children's game of musical chairs: in a conventional room of 100 candidates, there are about 3.4 vacant chairs, which is why 88% of specialists risk not finding a job within a year.
The information in the application is based on open data (Djinni, DOU, Work.ua, LinkedIn, Jobico) as of fall 2026 with elements of satirical modeling.
"Satire. Some of the numbers are from open source statistics, some are simulated and hyperbolized. The verdicts are written by AI, and it also doesn't know when you will be hired," explains the author of the project.
According to the data provided by the project, the least competition is observed among technical specialists in infrastructure and artificial intelligence:
DevOps / SRE — 3.3 people per vacancy.
ML / AI engineer - 4.2 people per position.
Data Engineer — 5.1 people per position.
At the same time, the situation is much more complicated in the humanitarian and creative fields. IT marketers took 10th place with 30 applicants per vacancy, and the toughest competition was recorded in the field of design — 22nd place and 83 people per position.
"We, designers, are in 22nd place: 83 people per vacancy. Here you no longer choose the position, here the position is chosen for you. Dozens of people can simultaneously apply for one vacancy, and hundreds for individual positions. And recruiters and HR in this situation suddenly became the ones who decide whether to even look at your application," the designer comments.
In his post, the developer urged applicants and switchers to carefully analyze analytics before enrolling in courses, as the times of quick employment after a few months of study are a thing of the past.
"I'm not urging you to stop looking for a job in IT. Look! But I wouldn't build my whole life around the thought: "50 more reviews - and I'll definitely find it." There is a very real scenario in which the dream offer this year simply won't reach you. And that's why it's advisable to have not only a plan B, but also C, D and somewhere nearby a plan to buy a cottage in the village, start a farm and be absolutely happy," concludes Mark.
