“In the future, Asus will no longer add new mobile phone models,” Shi said. However, he did not rule out a return entirely, noting instead that the company is moving into a state of “uncertain observation” of the market and “will continue to take care of the brand’s smartphone users.”
Asus-branded smartphones ceased to be interesting after the release of the tiny Zenfone 10 in 2023. At the same time, the ROG Phone gaming series still held the title of the best gaming phones, writes The Verge.
In all of 2025, the brand managed to release only two phones — the bulky Zenfone 12 Ultra and the “lightweight” ROG Phone 9 FE. Moreover, both new products bypassed the American market.
