The network’s press service announced the decision to terminate the partnership on Facebook.
«Earlier this year, ATB Market signed a contract to place advertising materials on the Telegram channel „Trukha“. However, taking into account recent events and the comments heard from the public, the company decided to terminate cooperation with this media resource. Further advertising on this platform is not planned, and advertising activity will be transferred to other communication channels,» the company noted.
On July 16, former Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov stated that the Telegram channel «Trukha» had launched an information campaign against him. According to Fedorov, publications accusing him of involvement in incidents involving the CCC intensified after the change of ownership of the Telegram channel network.
After that, volunteer Serhiy Sternenko, who was Fedorov’s advisor on the use of UAVs, called for a boycott of the retail chain due to the purchase of advertising integrations in Trukhy.
«Ukrainians, don’t go to ATB. ATB sponsors the fifth column, which wants to destroy our defense capability. Let me remind you that Trukha was bought for a huge amount of money specifically to attack Mykhailo Fedorov. This scumbag defends anti-Ukrainian interests,» said Sternenko.
The Trukha network is one of the largest players in the Ukrainian Telegram segment. The main channel Trukha Ukraine has over 3 million subscribers, and the total audience of the network’s 37 channels reaches 9 million users. Forbes Ukraine, citing the analytical service Telegator, reports that the cost of one advertising post on the main channel is 82,000 UAH, while in regional resources the price grid ranges from 650 UAH to 16,000 UAH.
