The Ministry of Defense reported that now 90% of issued deferments are extended automatically, without any action on the part of the conscript.
«Up until February 2, another automatic extension took place. It concerned both deferrals issued through „Reserve+“ and those submitted through the Central Administrative Center. This time, 7 more categories of deferrals were added to the mechanism,» the Ministry of Defense noted .
The department noted that previously, military conscripts were required to collect documents and visit the CCC every 90 days, but now 90% of deferments are extended automatically thanks to verification through state registers.
New deferral categories that are now automatically extended:
parents raising a seriously ill child without a disability;
those caring for a seriously ill family member;
guardians of a person who has been declared incapacitated;
those who have a wife (husband) with a disability of group III;
people caring for a 2nd or 3rd degree relative with a disability;
parents who are raising a child under the age of 18 on their own;
school teachers.
Deferrals that were previously automatically extended:
people with disabilities;
temporarily unfit for duty;
parents of a child with a disability under the age of 18;
parents of an adult child with a disability of group I or II;
those who have a wife (husband) with a disability of group I or II;
those who have relatives or a father or mother of a spouse with a disability of group I or II;
military women and men with a child;
parents of three or more children in one marriage;
students, postgraduates;
higher and vocational education employees;
people whose close relatives died or went missing during hostilities or martial law;
relatives of Heroes of Ukraine, awarded posthumously for courage during the Revolution of Dignity;
people deprived of their liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine;
soldiers released from captivity.
The Ministry of Defense reminded that military conscripts receive notifications about the automatic extension of the deferment in the «Reserve+» application.
